Mi Farm Market works with two very talanted jewelry artists who are both located right in the heart of Northwest Michigan. cm designs was created by Cheri Webb of East Jordan, MI and upnorthstones was created by Kelly Morris of Charlevoix, MI.
I took my first jewelry class more than 25 years ago, and I was hooked! Strange as it may sound, I find creative expression to be simultaneously calming and stimulating. (maybe that's the Libra in me!)
Over the years I have worked with many different materials (variety is the spice of life...). Currently I am hooked on kiln-fused glass, and wire. The design possibilities are endless!!
Michigan's state stone, The Petoskey Stone, is fossilized coral from the Devonian Period, 350 million years ago. These stones are drilled, polished and strung. As each Petoskey stone is unique, no two pieces of jewelery will be the same. Colors vary from a chocolate brown to a light gray, with creamy fossil outlines.
